the first weekend of 2019 in style

Let me start by saying HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you had an amazing time with your loved ones during the holiday season. I didn’t get to enjoy my holiday celebration as much as I had planned due to my falling sick with flu and having serious aches in my bones which resulted in back and forth testing before being finally cleared and by then the holidays were literally over. This is the main reason you I couldn’t post my Christmas and new year outfits as I always do each year. As grateful as I most definitely am to be alive and experience yet another year, my emotions are all over the place right now being someone who loves to plan literally everything, I felt super helpless not being able to do anything while all my holiday plans for my family and blog was left undone, not enjoyed and not experienced.

Overall as I said I am super grateful and happy all is well right now and my health is much better and soon back to being 100%. On a brighter side, having shared all that is today’s simple and everyday look to start off the first weekend of 2019. I decided to style one of many winter classic piece which is must-have and style for me in this cold season. I have been loving turtleneck more than normal lately, especially with just getting off the bad flu.

I think this sweater is my actually my favorite out of all because of the many details on it like, the double sleeves, the front pockets, and the side slits, not forgetting the softness against my skin and of course the elbow patch which sealed the deal of me buying it.
