Today is the official start fo summer and a great way to celebrate yes celebrate my favourite and the best season in my own opinion is by showing off and bringing out the shoulder lol :). Summertime just makes me happy, the weather is warm, and one of my favourite summer chores I enjoy is spreading freshly done laundry on the line to dry. Doing this reminds me of growing up in Nigeria ha fun times! Spreading laundry on the line actually saves us tones on the cost of electricity and prolongs the longevity of my family’s clothes, (I sound like a TV commercial just now) haha 🙂 and oh summer bring on my creative juices as well. wink
Speaking of the longevity of clothes, this skirt is over three years old can you believe that? I have styled it a while back in this post. I cannot go without wearing maxis during the summertime like it is a big staple in my closet and personal style. Any maxi piece calls my name, be it a dress, or a skirt, with my body type I feel length in my clothing elongates me and gives an illusion of me being taller than my 5,8″ frame which to be honest I don’t mind by any means at all. Being such a fun yet comfortable outfit, this look will be perfect for out and about, running errands, lunch/brunch or even movies later in the day!
