To be totally honest, I get bored styling pieces the same way over and over again and I find this usually happens with staples or classic looks. I love switching things up with my personal style, like incorporating pieces into classic looks to give it added value or to give the look a different and or unique feel to it.
I have done this few times, as shared in this post, as much as I love my classic pieces and looks I feel being able to change things up is more exciting than just styling the same way each time a certain piece comes to mind.
Take today’s post, It is classic jeans and sweater appropriate for day or night, regardless of where you are heading. As much as this is an all-time favorite and classic look, I feel it can be too simple and that is why I thought to add a piece to give it more life lol.
Adding a piece to give it just enough drama to elevate the entire outfit FYI the only drama I love around me is in my personal style, and not my personal life lol, just saying and putting that out there!
The embroidery on my jeans was so much fun and I actually DIY myself and you can check here for how and what I used in designing it. I decided to add this wool vest worn in a different color here, with details to it which can be worn off the shoulder or if puffed up around the neckline will have the illusion of a high collar. This vest, in this case, is the piece that will uplift the outfit from simple to that chic unique look I was going for.
Adding my everyday wallet that holders cash, credit cards, and driver’s license amongst other items I carry every day serves as my clutch for a date or movie night paired my pumps to complete the entire look.
