This beautiful Monday I decided to come out of my comfort zone and do something I never thought I had the guts to do! Like everyone else, there is a part of the body which we tend to be more conscious of and even have less confidence in, for me it is my arms and I have always covered it thinking its too “gigantic to expose lol smh.
God bless my hubby he always assures me my arms are not as big as I think, and he says encouraging words to make me feel more confident and even goes as far as showing me someone with much more bigger arms, and how they are confident enough showing it off without a care in the world by wearing sleeveless.
I have talked about how my personal style has evolved over the years in this post, and it is still and will most definitely continue to evolve, today’s post is an example. Working on this post I still can not believe it that I am gradually working on my confidence in an area I didn’t even give a second thought to for years and now I have managed somehow to do a shoot as well!
Having a style that empowers you is a real thing and that is equally important to me, I got this beautiful dress over 3 years ago because I loved and I obviously never got round to styling because of my arms and also I initially thought I will style it with a blazer, jean jacket or even a shrug.
Overall I am super proud of myself and also glad I decided to show the real beauty in and of this dress and I truly hope this post encourages someone to step out of their comfort zone and try something that scares you, I promise you it is such a liberating feeling doing so!
