casuals for Canada day long weekend

It is the long weekend here and we are celebrating Canada day, also the kiddos are out of school for the summer break today,  which means no waking up super early to do breakfast pack lunch and do school runs yaay lol. Last year I celebrated Canada day on the blog with red and white which is the national flag as it was a country-wide celebration of being 50 years as a country, in this post and here.
This weekend is actually packed with events and fun, as a family friend is getting married on Saturday, and Sunday is the day of celebrating Canada day and I plan on staying outdoors to celebrate with my city and enjoy all the goodies already planned with my family, knowing it will be a wonderful time is more than enough reason not to miss out on all the fun!
However, this year I am celebrating Canada day differently with just a touch of red and I decided to go with denim skirt which I haven’t styled in years, I love the slit in this skirt and it also being high waisted sold me right away.
I especially love unique pieces like these mules, with the in trend vinyl floral details and of course the heels which I find really cute. The earrings, believe it or not, I wasn’t thinking of one before buying the other, the truth is I actually got the mules first and the earrings were sold out online.
I felt superbly blessed to find it in store and it was the only one left in the entire store for that matter, and I just love them both, and they are from Zara’s recent season and unfortunately is sold out by the time I got round to the scheduled dates for today’s post.
